While small conventions usually focus on a limited number of genres, Dragon Con Atlanta combines literature, comics & gaming, television & movies, music, literature, science fiction, and more, just as it has been doing from the start in 1987.

Love First-The Remembering (with Julie Caitlin Brown)
This workshop is about the essence of creation, frequency, and light as they are the true nature of all things and matter. Through exercises and discussions, you can reconnect with the universal principles that underpin life itself and learn how to engage with these principles for joy, expansion, and alignment.
Tame Your Fear Dragon (with Patricia Tallman)
Patricia Tallman has been doing Hollywood stunt work for decades, from hanging over quarry floors at 80 foot high, doubling in risky explosions, to performing on Jurassic Park, Star Trek, Jurassic Park, and more movies. She will explain how fear works in your brain, and give attendees usable, real-world tools to stop it from affecting our lives. Her storytelling is hilarious, raw, honesty and practical.
Practical Self-Defense (with Keith R.A. DeCandido)
Keith is a 4-degree black belt self-defense specialist, offering a great guide to basic self-defense techniques and practices that you can use and apply in difficult or threatening situations. To participate in this workshop, you don’t need to have any previous martial arts training, but you are recommend to wear comfortable shoes and street clothes.
Tai Chi Workshop (with Erin Gray)
Tai Chi is a moving meditation, a powerful healing art, and a non-physical contact martial art phenomenon all in one. Erin Gray’s workshop is an introduction to the practice and theory behind Tai Chi and Chi Kung. The first half hour of the workshop includes ten basic Chi Kung exercises involving breathing and gentle movements. Chi Kung is about the art of energy, and the basic foundation for Tai Chi.
